It’s week 5 and Friday Fantasy Talk is here to give you some more juicy fantasy tips. Last week was a bit of a struggle. A lot of surprises and a lot of players putting up big numbers on tough match ups and vice versa. Brady returns from his Deflate Gate suspension and Gordon returns from his sus- wait, he checked himself into rehab and he’s STILL not coming back yet? Oh ok, that’s cool.
Bye week: KC, JAX, NO, SEA
QUARTER BACKS
Tom Brady, NE vs CLE

Guess who’s back, back again. Brady’s back, tell a friend. Tom Brady returns from his 4 game suspension and we fully expect him to take all his frustration out on poor, lowly Cleveland.Brady has been working his own and is ready to take the league by storm. We expect him and the Patriots to come out firing and score a ton on Cleveland.
Carson Wentz, PHI vs DET
Wentz is coming off of his bye well rested and ready to continue his already impressive rookie season. Detroit gives up the second most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Look for Wentz to continue to produce and be the surprise rookie QB of this young season.
Eli Manning, NYG vs GB

Eli has been hot and cold to say the least. After starting the season 2 and 0, the Giants have lost two games in a row and Eli has struggled. However, he has a very good matchup against a Packers team who gives up the fourth most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Eli may not be putting up great numbers yet but he is surrounded by a ton of WR talent and the points should come.
SLEEPER: Brian Hoyer vs IND
Hoyer has filed in very nicely for Cutler, who is nursing a thumb injury. So nicely that even when Cutler comes back, Hoyer may still be the starter. In the two games he has starter, Hoyer has thrown for over 300 yards, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs. He faces an Indy defense that allows the 9th most fantasy points to opposing QBs. Expect another solid game by Hoyer.
BUST: Matthew Stafford, DET vs PHI
Last week Stafford had a good matchup agains Chicago and only managed 8 fantasy points. Very disappointing to say the least. This week he faces a Philadelphia defense that is very very tough on opposing QBs. They give up an average of only 7 points to opposing QBs, which is lowest in the NFL. We expect another low scoring week from Stafford.
RUNNING BACKS
DeMarco Murray, TEN vs MIA

Murray has been Mr. Everything for Tennessee’s offense. He is the highest scoring RB this season and has been the only consistent part of Tennessee’s offense. This week he faces a Dolphins defense than gives up an average of 15 points per game to opposing RBs, but we expect Murray to score even more than that.
Jordan Howard, CHI vs IND
Howard had a very nice game last week as his first game as Chicago’s starter. He had 111 rushing yards to go along with 21 receiving yards. With Langford still injured, Howard will continue to se the bulk of the carries. This week he faces a weak Colts defense who give up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing RBs. We expect another good game from Howard this week.
Frank Gore, IND vs CHI
Frank Gore has been a consistent RB his whole career. With him getting older, many expect his production tail off this season. However, Gore has been quietly been very good this season for the Colts. He has scored double digit points in every week other than the first week if the season. Chicago gives up an average of 19 fantasy points per game against opposing RBs this season. Gore should have another quietly good game.
SLEEPER: Terrance West, BAL vs WAS

Last week West put up an impressive 113 yards and a TD last week. No RB on Baltimore has really taken off as the main guy in their backfield. Dixon is going to be active for the first week this season but West will still be the starter. He faces a weak Washington team that gives up the second most fantasy points to opposing RBs.
BUST: Matt Jones, WAS vs BAL
Jones is coming off a strong week where he logged an impressive 138 total yards and a TD against a weak Cleveland defense. This week he has a much tougher task. Jones faces a Baltimore defense that surrenders the third least amount of fantasy points to opposing RBs. Jones could struggle this week.
WIDE RECEIVERS
Kelvin Benjamin, CAR vs TB
After being completely shut out and only having 1 target two weeks ago against Minnesota, Benjamin was quiet again last week with only 39 yards and a TD. However, he is still a main threat on offense for Carolina and they face a Tampa Bay defense that surrenders my most fantasy points to opposing WRs. We expect Benjamin to have a good bounce back week.
Julian Edelman, NE vs CLE

Like we mentioned before, Brady is back. We expect the Patriots to put up monster points against Cleveland. With Gronk still banged up, Edelman becomes the top pass catching option for Brady. We expect Edelman to see a lot of passes thrown his way and the yardage to rack up.
Michael Crabtree, OAK vs SD
Amari Cooper is the number 1 WR for Oakland and many people expected him to the the top scoring WR on his team. However, so far this season that has not been the case. Crabtree has by far been the more productive WR. In fact, he is the 5th ranked WR in all of fantasy. San Diego’s secondary received a devastating blow when Jason Verrett tore his ACL. Ride the hot hand and start Crabtree against a banged up San Diego defense.
SLEEPER: Robert Woods, BUF vs LAR
With Sammy Watkins out for an extended amount of time someone on Buffalo is going to have to pick up the slack. So far that someone looks like it is going to be Robert Woods. Last week Woods was able to make 7 catches on 10 targets for 89 yards. Woods could be a solid bye week option that could turn into something more for your team down the stretch if he continues to be the go to guy.
BUST: DeAndre Hopkins, HOU vs MIN

The past three weeks, Minnesota has held Odell Beckham to 23 yards, Kelvin Benjamin to 0 yards, and Jordy Nelson to 73 yards. On top of that, Hopkins is coming off of back to back weak games and has been taking most of the double coverage to open up more space for Will Fuller. We expect another slow week for Houston’s number 1 WR.
TIGHT ENDS
Zach Ertz, PHI vs DET
Zach Ertz was one of Went’s favorite targets in week 1 and this week he returns from injury. He has a very good matchup for him as Detroit gives up the second most fantasy points to opposing TEs. We expect Wentz to look Ertz’s way often and for him to have a good game.
Zach Miller, CHI vs IND
Miller followed up his 2 TD game two weeks ago against Dallas with 39 yards and another TD against Detroit. Hoyer and Miller are clearly on the same page, which is great for Miller owners. On top of that he is a great red zone target. On the season he has 5 targets in the red zone which is tied with Greg Olsen and 1 less than Kyle Rudolph and Jordan Reed.
Hunter Henry, SD vs OAK

Henry has been very good for San Diego in Gates’s absence. Last week he had 4 catches on 7 targets for 61 yards and a TD. He was also targeted twice in the red zone. With so many of Rivers’ offensive weapons already hurt, Henry becomes a very viable offensive threat for this team. Combine that with the fact that Oakland struggles to cover TEs and Henry could be in store for another good week.
SLEEPER: Will Tye, NYG vs GB
Larry Donnell and Will Tye have, for the most part, split time as the Giants’ starting TEs. Eli likes to dump the ball off quickly and his TE is always one of his first looks. Last week Donnell suffered a concussion. If he does not play, Tye will get all the TE reps. Even if he does play, the Giants go up against a Green Bay defense that gives up the 5th most fantasy points to TEs and Tye may still get a TD.
BUST: Eric Ebron, DET vs PHI
Ebron started the season very strong, posting 46 yards and a TD. However, since then his production has slipped. He has not scored a TD since week 1 and has not logged more than 79 yards in a game. On top of his lack of production, Ebron has been battling a knee and ankle injury. His match up this week does not help him either. Philadelphia gives up the least points per game against opposing TEs.
DEFENSE / SPECIAL TEAMS
Pittsburgh Steelers vs NYJ

In the past two games Ryan Fitzpatrick has thrown a total of 9 interceptions. He is turning the ball over at an alarming rate. Pittsburgh is going to look to continue that trend. They are coming off of a strong week against Kansas City, where they only gave up 14 points. The Jets may be without Eric Decker again, who is still nursing a torn rotator cuff.
Buffalo Bills vs LAR
Buffalo’s defense has been on fire since being stomped out by the Jets on Thursday night week 2. Week 3 they forced 5 turnovers and 5 sacks against Arizona. Then they followed that up with a very surprising shutout against the Patriots last week. This week they face a very weak Rams defense. Ride the hot defense and go with the Bills this week. Bills Mafia FTW.
New England Patriots vs CLE
Blah, blah, blah Cleveland Browns are terrible blah, blah, blah. In all seriousness, New England’s defense has been quietly, consistently good. They have yet to allow more than 24 points in any game and have forced 7 turn overs on the season. We expect the Patriots to be all riled up including their defense. RIP Cleveland Browns (as if they’re not already dead on the inside).
SLEEPER: Miami Dolphins vs TEN

Miami’s defense may not be the strongest defense in the league. However, Tennessee definitely doesn’t have the strongest offense in the league. Tennessee’s offense gives up the 3 most fantasy points to opposing defenses. If you need to stream a defense this week because your normal defense has a bye, Miami may be the defense for you.
BUST: Cincinnati Bengals vs DAL
Cincinnati’s defense has been a good defense that has not given up many points as a whole. However, from a fantasy perspective they have not been great. Cincinnati has not been forcing many turnovers and Dak Prescott has yet to throw an interception. Dallas has possibly the best offensive line in football and they take care of the ball very well. Be cautious starting Cincinnati’s defense this week.
